Lexture
Lexture Terms of Use
Revised: 27 October 2026.
These Terms govern Lexture services provided by Hangzhou Clearflux Information Technology Co., Ltd. Read the purchase, renewal, availability, data and liability provisions before accepting. The software licence is governed by Apple’s Standard EULA.
1. Service and agreement
Read these Terms before using this app, especially the purchase and renewal, service changes, disclaimers and liability limits. By starting or continuing to use the relevant product services, you accept these Terms. We will notify you of changes through in-app notices, website announcements or other reasonable means; material changes will be prominently notified before they take effect.
Hangzhou Clearflux Information Technology Co., Ltd. (Clearflux, “we”) provides Lexture for importing and reading books, saving articles, local dictionary lookup, notes, reading records and device synchronization. Read these terms and the privacy policy before using relevant features, especially before purchasing. Questions can be sent to support@clearflux.net.
The software licence, including its permitted use, warranty exclusions and licence-related liability limits, is governed by Apple’s Standard EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ . These Terms supplement product services, purchases, delivery and support. Service-specific provisions apply to those matters; mandatory law prevails over either document. Third-party and open-source licences retain their own terms.
2. License
You may use Lexture on devices you are authorized to use, subject to applicable law, Apple platform rules and these terms. The software, brand and content we create are protected by their respective rights. Third-party dictionary data and open-source components use their own licenses; see Dictionary Sources in the app for attribution and notices. These terms do not restrict rights already granted by those licenses.
3. Your imported or shared content
You retain rights to your books, articles, notes and other content. Ensure you have permission to import, copy, sync, export and share it, and respect authors’ and publishers’ copyright. Lexture does not grant access to third-party paid content or provide tools to bypass digital rights protection.
Do not infringe others’ rights, distribute unlawful content, attack services, misuse credentials, bypass purchase verification or abuse downloads. Processing content for private device synchronization does not transfer its ownership to us.
You are responsible for content you import, create, save, sync, export or share and for your use of the services. You bear liability and third-party disputes arising from missing permissions or your breach of these Terms or applicable law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for resulting loss. If that conduct causes third-party claims or loss to us, you must compensate us for proven amounts causally attributable to your conduct and legally payable by you, including reasonable costs of defending or enforcing rights. This does not exclude liability that the law requires us to bear.
4. Dictionaries and AI revisions
Dictionaries include source material, translations and editorial revisions, some assisted by AI. They are reading and language-learning references and may contain errors, omissions or outdated expressions; they are not professional medical, legal or financial advice. Report concerns to support@clearflux.net. Content risks are subject to the liability limits in Section 11.
Offensive, derogatory or dangerous-topic usage labels explain language context and do not endorse the behavior or viewpoint. We may revise content based on source evidence, quality and company editorial policy. A purchase does not promise a particular definition for every word or language pair, or a fixed number of senses.
5. Purchases, subscriptions and restoration
Where a feature is paid, the purchase screen and Apple confirmation show the actual product, price, currency, period, trial and availability. These terms set no separate price. Apple processes payment and refunds; use Restore Purchases in the app to verify existing entitlements.
Auto-renewable subscriptions renew under Apple rules. To prevent renewal, cancel in your Apple account subscription settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Deleting the app or dictionaries does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period; refunds, trials and regional exceptions follow Apple rules and applicable law.
Lexture offers a separate, free, non-consumable 30-day trial purchase, subject to Apple confirmation and availability. It starts after the transaction is verified and does not automatically renew or become a paid subscription. Free trial access is not paid membership: it permits one dictionary language pair and one download on one device, without dictionary updates. Books and reading data may sync through iCloud; the trial dictionary is limited to the first download device. Resuming the same interrupted transfer does not use another download. After trial and paid access end, you may still export eligible books and saved cards; other business features require membership.
The trial uses the earliest verified Apple trial transaction date. Restore Purchases recovers eligible remaining access; reinstalling does not restart the trial. Dictionary downloads require online purchase verification and are subject to account download limits. Earlier Apple subscription trial offers retain their original deadlines and do not restart.
Lifetime membership is a one-time purchase and does not cancel an existing subscription. Cancel its renewal separately in Apple subscription settings to avoid further subscription charges.
6. Meaning of lifetime access
Lifetime membership is a non-renewing, one-time licence to the covered Lexture features for the operating life of this product. It does not promise all future separate products or every dictionary language. We will not arbitrarily revoke a valid purchase or rely on this description to avoid statutory service obligations; material discontinuation requires reasonable notice and handling of unfulfilled paid services and related charges as required by law.
7. Downloads and fair use
Paid download limits apply per service account, device installation and language pair: at most three downloads of the same content in a rolling 30-day window, with a 24-hour re-download cooldown after the service acknowledges deletion. Continuations of the same interrupted transfer are not new downloads; official content updates are accounted separately. These limits do not prohibit normal use on your other eligible devices. If you believe a download limit has been applied incorrectly, contact support for review. We do not use abuse controls to remove mandatory consumer rights.
8. Delivery and availability
New downloads provide the full dictionary with your selected reading and definition languages. Downloads and updates may require networking, device space, valid purchase entitlements and authenticity verification and may incur network charges. Offline reading and installed dictionary availability depend on file integrity, compatibility and relevant authorization.
We may maintain, modify, suspend or end affected services for security incidents, unlawful use, essential technical changes, legal requirements or cessation of operations. Action will be proportionate to the reason; urgent security or legal restrictions may take effect immediately. For a planned change materially affecting paid use, we will give reasonable advance notice where practicable and explain continued access, export and arrangements for unfulfilled paid services. A breach restriction will normally identify the reason and a support route for review, unless disclosure is prohibited or would compromise security.
9. Sync, storage and backups
iCloud and nearby sync depend on system permissions, Apple accounts, networking and storage. Sync can be delayed or have conflicts. Keep separate copies of important content and confirm deletion scope. Storage optimization clears local files that can be downloaded again. Deleting books, uninstalling and cancelling subscriptions are separate actions. See the privacy policy for data processing and deletion effects.
10. Support
Contact support@clearflux.net for product, purchase or privacy questions. Send only information relevant to the issue; do not include account passwords, full payment details or unrelated private content.
11. Responsibility and consumer rights
We provide Lexture with reasonable care, but do not warrant that it will satisfy every individual requirement, achieve a particular learning result, or operate continuously, without delay, error or incompatibility. Dictionaries and translations are general references, not medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. We do not promise immediate correction of every defect.
You should keep independent copies of important data and use suitable device and account security. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss caused by your misuse, unauthorized changes, failure to back up, or independent Apple, network or other third-party failures beyond our reasonable control, except to the extent our own breach contributed. We will reasonably assist with product issues; this is not a guarantee of third-party availability.
Apple reviews and processes refunds for purchases made through the App Store. The refund amount will not exceed the amount actually paid for that purchase.
12. Changes, ending use and disputes
We may revise these Terms for legal, security, technical or operational reasons and publish the updated Terms, revision date and effective date. We notify ordinary changes through in-app notices, website announcements or other reasonable means. Material changes, including purchases and renewals, service changes, disclaimers and liability limits, will be prominently notified before taking effect through a pop-up, in-app notice or another conspicuous method. Continuing to use the relevant product services after receiving notice means you accept the updated Terms; stop using those services if you disagree. Updates do not retroactively cancel accrued paid rights. Stopping use or uninstalling does not cancel a subscription; manage cancellation separately in your Apple account.
These product service Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, subject to mandatory protections of your usual residence. Contact support@clearflux.net first to discuss a dispute. If unresolved, either party may apply to a competent court at the company’s domicile, except where mandatory consumer, jurisdiction or local law provides another forum or procedure. The Standard EULA governs its own licence-related matters.
